I've never been quite certain what effect an additional supermarket might have on Moseley (perhaps why an assessment would be a very good idea).
It seems to the layman that a negative effect would be on other large multi-national or national chains (Boots, Sansbury's etc) as Moseley doesn't have any mainstream independent food retail (no conventional greengrocer,butcher, baker for example). There might even be a positive effect on the other shops.
