Cothi Valley Goats offer a full range of 15 various goats' milk cheeses - made with vegetarian rennet - and prime kid meat. Included in the range of goats' cheeses are:

• Arzegarzey - a soft ripened cheese
• Caws Talley - a soft creamy matured cheese ripened with a white mould

• Luddesdown Log - a soft fresh cheese coated with fresh herbs

• Storrington - a semi-mature hard cheese, ripened with a gentle blue mould
• Twayblade - a very fresh & sharp soft cheese

Cilwr Farm is situated in Tally - north-facing & overlooking the River Cothi - is a 50-acre grass farm with an abundance of wildlife. Hedges & woodland provide homes for woodpeckers, red starts, blue tits, great tits and Coal tits, siskin, warblers, pipits and owls. The barns are home to swallows and bats, with wet areas around the farm used by toads and frogs. Buzzards and red kites patrol the fields.

A herd of 400 goats - mainly Saanen and Saanen X Nubian - are kept for their high solids milk, ideal for cheesemaking. The goats are grazed spring, summer and autumn, weather permitting. During winter & overnight the goats are loose housed in straw bedded barns. Haylage is available ad-lib throughout the year with a good percentage of own-grown forage for winter feed.

A comprehensive range of goat products are available: a selection of savoury meals are cooked in the farm kitchen - the most popular being a superb range of quiches. The extensive range are made using cows' milk-free ingredients & soft goat cheese, which can be made in special varieties & sizes to order:

• kid meat casserole
• kid meat lasagne
• Moroccan kid
• kid meat pies cooked with a red wine/mushroom gravy

Also available is a new line of desserts for those on a cows' milk-free diet is now available including plain yoghurt & a wickedly fresh tasting drinking yoghurt.
