Oslinc produces a range of cuts of ostrich meat; as well as other ostrich products, including mince, burger, sausages, and eggs; from 21 breeding ostriches at White House Farm which are kept in trios - one male to two females - with each trio having its own field, surrounded by hedgerows.
White House Farm is a delightful 16th century farm house, located 4 miles out of Horncastle on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. The idyllic setting with its old hedgerows, mature ash trees, traditional small fields, surrounded by hundreds of acres of Lincolnshire countryside is the ideal location for an Ostrich Farm.
This is 'Clint' (named after Clint Eastwood) one of our large breeders.
Once hatched, the ostrich chicks are transferred to a specialist nursery, to be carefully looked after by the family. They are put into groups of between 10 and 12 and stay in this family group for the rest of their lives.
At three months old, the ostriches are transferred into the surrounding fields. Here they live, peacefully grazing in the Lincolnshire countryside, with field shelters and ample fresh water and feed supply.
