BANF - Birmingham Association of Neighbourhood Forums - to be wound up?

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
15 SEPTEMBER at 19:30
Rooms 3 + 4 Council House
Purpose of meeting to consider the resolution:
"This meeting agrees to dissolve the Birmingham Association of Neighbourhood Forums and to wind up BANF as a company limited by guarantee".
At present BANF has no confirmed income to meet future liabilities so it has no alternative but to initiate steps to close down.
Please lobby BeBirmingham and local councillors - try to prevent the closure - find out what is planned to replace the service provided by BANF.
Councillor Martin Mullaney responded promptly to my concern on receiving notice of the SGM. He reassures Moseley Forum that our grant from the City Council is not at risk.

UPDATE on BANF
The resolution to dissolve BANF was withdrawn at the meeting held on September 15th as the City Council has provided £15,000 to bridge the period until other funding will be available. More news will be given when the future is clear.
